Description

This Smelly PAWS scented candle brings a fresh cotton scent to the room, set in a clear jar with a lid that sits neatly on top when it is not lit. The candle itself is white, and the jar carries a pale oval label printed with two drawn paw prints above the words Smelly PAWS, Fresh Cotton and Scented Candle in a classic serif type. It is round, standing 11cm tall and 8.5cm across, and at 260g it sits comfortably on a shelf, side table or windowsill without taking over the space. The design is simple and clean, letting the cheerful name do the talking.

With its paw print label and playful name, it suits homes shared with pets, where a fresh cotton scent is a welcome thing in a hallway, living room or kitchen. Set it on the coffee table in the evening, in a bedroom while you read, or on a sideboard by the back door where muddy walks come in. The lid keeps the top tidy between uses and helps the candle look finished on an open shelf. Because the label is printed with a sense of humour, it raises a smile from anyone who knows the joys of life with a dog or cat.

Trim the wick short before each lighting and let the top melt across to the edge before you blow it out, which helps it burn level. Always burn it on a heat-proof surface, away from draughts, curtains, children and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Let it cool fully before you replace the lid. Dust the jar and lid with a soft dry cloth, and wipe the outside with a slightly damp cloth if needed. We like it on a tray with a few favourite books, or by the door with the dog lead close by, for a cheerful, practical touch.
