Description

This is a smart LED globe bulb with an E27 cap, a clear glass globe and a coiled LED filament that you can see through the glass. It is 15.1cm long and 9.5cm across, so it suits open fittings where the bulb is part of the look rather than hidden behind a shade. It draws 4.9W and gives 400lm, with a warm white of 3000K for everyday light and RGBW colour when you want a change of mood. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms only.

The E27 cap is the larger Edison screw, so the bulb suits pendants, table lamps and floor lamps that take that cap, as long as there is room for a 9.5cm globe. We like it best hanging bare or in an open lamp holder, where the spiral filament becomes the decoration. Living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas all suit it: keep it warm white for reading and quiet evenings, then switch to colour for a film night or a party. It is also an easy way to bring smart lighting into a room you already have, because the change is a bulb rather than a new fitting.

Inside the clear glass, the LED ribbon winds around a slim central stem on fine wire supports, and a black collar sits between the glass and the silver screw cap. The bulb is dimmable and controlled by app. It also works with a remote control, which is sold separately and does not come in the box. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and weighs 0.11KG packed. Before you order, check that your lamp or pendant leaves space for a globe of this size, since a larger bulb needs a fitting with an open holder or a generous shade.

Frequently Asked

Can I use this bulb in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms, never in a bathroom, outdoors or anywhere near water.

It gives 400lm from 4.9W, and because it is dimmable you can bring it down for a softer light in the evening.

Does it come with a remote control?

No. The bulb is controlled by app and also works with a remote control, but the remote is sold separately and is not in the box.

What size is the globe?

The bulb is 15.1cm long and 9.5cm across, so check that your shade or lamp holder leaves room for a globe that size.

Which cap does it have?

It has an E27 cap, the larger Edison screw, and it runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply.

What colours can it show?

It is an RGBW bulb, so it offers coloured light as well as a warm white of 3000K for everyday use.
