The Smart is a 46cm wire cage pendant light with an integrated 43W LED panel at its base, delivering 2600 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a frosted diffuser. The cage itself is built from sand black metal wire rods that curve from a 120mm ceiling canopy down to a wider 462mm diameter at the base, creating a bell-shaped silhouette. The LED panel sits flush inside the cage bottom, so the wire frame remains visible as the primary decorative element while the diffuser directs light downward.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and meeting spaces where focused overhead light is needed without blocking sightlines, the open wire construction gives the pendant visual presence without the mass of a solid shade. The 530mm minimum drop positions the LED panel approximately 400mm below the ceiling canopy, which suits rooms with 2.4m ceilings; taller spaces can extend the drop to a maximum of 2030mm on the adjustable cable. The 2600lm output equates to approximately 160W of halogen brightness, providing enough light for a 1.8m dining table or a 2m kitchen island.

The sand black finish on the metal wire has a low-sheen powder coat that reduces reflections and reads as near-matte in most lighting conditions. The wire rods are spaced approximately 15mm apart around the circumference, so the cage acts as a visual texture rather than a barrier to light distribution. At 3.1kg the pendant has enough weight to hang stably on the cable without swaying in air movement from doors or ventilation. The LED is non-dimmable and operates on standard 220-240V mains.

Is this pendant dimmable?

No. The integrated 43W LED operates at full brightness only and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What size table or island does it suit?

The 2600lm output and 462mm diameter work well over dining tables up to 1.8m long or kitchen islands up to 2m. For longer surfaces, consider pairing two pendants spaced 900mm-1200mm apart.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The cable is adjustable between 530mm and 2030mm drop during installation. Once the excess cable is secured inside the ceiling canopy, shortening or lengthening the drop requires re-accessing the canopy fixings.

How is the wire cage maintained?

Dust the wire rods with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. The frosted diffuser at the base can be wiped with a barely-damp cloth if needed, ensuring the pendant is switched off and cool before cleaning.
