This wicker lantern brings a warm, textural note to any room that needs a softer source of light. Woven by hand over a sturdy frame, the natural wicker carries a honeyed brown finish with the subtle variation you expect from a woven material, so each piece has its own character. The tall silo shape stands 57cm high on a 26cm square footprint, giving it real presence on the floor beside a fireplace or in a hallway corner. A removable glass holder sits within, keeping the flame contained and letting the woven pattern cast a gentle shadow when lit.

As a candle holder it takes a pillar candle set inside the glass insert, though it works equally well with a battery-operated LED candle if you prefer to leave it lit unattended. We like it grouped with shorter candle holders for a layered look, or standing alone by a doorway or on a wide windowsill. The brown tone settles happily against neutral walls, natural linen and stone, and suits both a country cottage scheme and a relaxed modern room. Set one either side of a console for balance, or use a single lantern to fill an awkward empty corner.

The glass holder lifts out for easy access when you change the candle, and the wicker only needs an occasional dust with a soft brush or dry cloth.
