Description

The Sky-2 is a 400mm clear glass pendant light with a hand-blown glass shade that combines an upper dome and a lower flared skirt, suspended from a black painted metal canopy and cable. A single E27 bulb fitting sits centrally within the glass, visible through the transparent shade. The glass itself is mouth-blown, so each piece carries slight variation in thickness and form.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Sky-2 works as a single pendant over a small dining table or as part of a cluster of two or three over a kitchen island or breakfast bar. The 400mm diameter provides presence without dominating a typical 4-5m room. The glass shade diffuses light evenly across 360 degrees while the flared lower skirt directs additional light downward onto the surface below.

The clear glass and black metal combination pairs with both industrial and Scandinavian-influenced interiors, working alongside exposed brick, concrete, timber and white-painted surfaces. The shade weighs approximately 1.2kg when fitted, giving the pendant a substantial feel without requiring reinforced ceiling fittings. The E27 socket accepts LED, halogen or decorative filament bulbs up to 60W, and the fitting is fully dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb.

What bulb does the Sky-2 take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K, or a decorative filament bulb for visible vintage styling through the clear glass.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the fitting is compatible with dimmer switches provided you use a dimmable bulb and a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer. Confirm compatibility between your chosen bulb and dimmer before installation.

Can multiple Sky-2 pendants be used together?

Yes. The Sky-2 is often installed in clusters of two or three over kitchen islands or dining tables. When fitting multiple pendants, space them 600-800mm apart measured centre-to-centre to avoid visual crowding.

Is the glass variation a defect?

No. Each shade is hand-blown, so slight differences in glass thickness, bubble patterns and the exact profile of the dome and flared skirt are characteristic of the manufacturing process, not faults.
