Description

This oval wooden photo frame wraps your favourite picture in a border of sketched dogs, drawn in black on a soft white matt finish. Around the frame you will find spotty Dalmatian puppies and grown dogs from 101 Dalmatians alongside Lady and the Tramp, each caught mid wag, mid sit or mid stroll, so there is always another face to spot. The oval opening takes a 6 x 4in print, so a holiday snap or a portrait of your own dog drops straight in. The frame stands 21cm tall and 16cm wide and is just 1cm deep, so it takes up little room on a shelf.

It suits a bedroom, a living room shelf, a hallway table or a desk at work, anywhere a little gentle fun is welcome. Because the drawings are simply black on white, the frame sits happily beside plain, modern pieces as well as brighter, busier rooms. The characters come from two much loved films, so it brings a touch of nostalgia to a mantelpiece or a bookcase without shouting for attention. It also makes a thoughtful gift, and with a photo already inside it becomes a keepsake that feels personal from the moment it is unwrapped.

The frame is made from wood with a smooth matt white finish, and an easel stand at the back lets it rest upright on a flat surface, so it needs no wall and no fixings. Small turn tabs on the back hold the backing board in place and turn aside when you want to change the picture. To keep it looking fresh, dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. For a gift, slip a favourite photo inside before wrapping so the frame is ready to stand on show as soon as the paper comes off.
