Description

The Sintesys Large is a 1140mm wall light built around two flowing petal-shaped forms in polished chrome with white inner diffusers, each housing an E27 bulb. The twin petals curve outward from a central chrome mounting point, creating an asymmetric wave that projects 80mm from the wall and stands 190mm tall. The white plastic diffusers inside each chrome shell soften the light output and prevent glare when viewed from the side.

Designed for hallways, living rooms and bedrooms where a wide horizontal spread of light is needed without ceiling interference, the Sintesys Large provides ambient illumination across a 1.1m span. The 2700K warm white colour temperature from the included CFL bulbs gives a soft residential glow rather than clinical brightness. The fitting works well above a console table in an entrance hall, flanking a feature wall, or above a sideboard in a dining room where the horizontal format balances wider furniture.

The polished chrome finish catches and reflects light from adjacent sources, adding a metallic accent to neutral and cool-toned interiors. The petal forms are made from formed metal rather than cast, keeping the weight at 2.6kg and allowing the fitting to be mounted on standard plasterboard walls with appropriate fixings. The 80mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall plane, making it suitable for narrower hallways and corridors where deeper-projecting wall lights would intrude into circulation space.

At 2.6kg the fitting needs appropriate fixings for plasterboard walls, and the 30W total across both E27 sockets covers ambient lighting for the surrounding area.

Is this wall light dimmable?

Yes, provided dimmable E27 bulbs are fitted and a compatible dimmer switch is used. The included CFL bulbs may not be dimmable. Check the packaging or replace with dimmable LED E27 bulbs rated for 220-240V.

What bulbs does it take?

Two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 30W combined. The fitting ships with CFL bulbs included, but these can be replaced with standard E27 LED or halogen bulbs if preferred. The 2700K warm white rating refers to the included bulbs.

Can it be fitted to a plasterboard wall?

Yes. At 2.6kg the Sintesys Large can be mounted on plasterboard using appropriate cavity fixings or toggle bolts. Ensure fixings are rated for the weight and that at least one fixing point locates into a stud or noggin where possible.

What width wall does it suit?

The 1140mm width works well on walls 1.5m or wider, where the fitting does not dominate the entire wall plane. In narrower hallways the horizontal span may be too wide. Consider the smaller Sintesys variant for walls under 1.5m wide.
