This blue stoneware mug carries a little pair of embossed green wellies above the words Simply the best DAD, a cheerful way to tell him he is top of the list. The boots stand proud of the surface so you can feel them under your fingertips, and their striped tops pick out a deeper green against the soft pastel blue glaze. The lettering sits beneath them, with the first line in a relaxed handwritten script and DAD in neat blue capitals. Inside, the glaze is a pale cream. It stands 8.5cm tall, 11.5cm wide and 8.5cm deep, and holds 290ml, a proper everyday cup of tea with room for milk.
