This Mantra silk string lampshade measures 250mm top diameter, 400mm base diameter and 250mm height, with the shade body constructed from fine silk thread wound tightly around a wire frame. The dark brown silk is wrapped to create vertical striations that diffuse light softly when the lamp is on, casting warm ambient glow rather than directional task light.

Designed to fit standard BC or ES table lamp bases and floor lamp fittings with clip-on or screw-fit shade carriers, the shade works in bedrooms, living rooms and study spaces where warmer tones are preferred. The 400mm base diameter suits lamp bases between 200-350mm wide for balanced proportions, while the tapered profile prevents the shade dominating smaller side tables or narrower console positions.

The silk string construction shows visible texture under daylight, with each thread contributing to the overall weave pattern. When lit, the shade filters bulb brightness and produces a cocoon effect where light radiates outward through the gaps between threads rather than projecting sharp shadows.
