Description

The Siena is a 75cm 8-light chandelier built around a polished brass frame with eight curved arms, each supporting an amber silk string shade and an E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately). Faceted crystal pendalogues hang from the underside of each arm and a larger crystal sphere suspends from the central column, refracting light across the frame when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Siena provides both ambient and decorative light. The 750mm diameter suits rooms measuring 4-6m across, where the chandelier can act as a focal point without dominating smaller furniture arrangements. The adjustable drop of 600-780mm allows the fitting to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or 2m above floor level in a hallway, depending on ceiling height. The amber silk string shades have white inner linings that reflect light back out through the shade fabric, producing a warm golden glow that complements the polished brass finish.

Each arm curves gently outward from the central column in a symmetrical arrangement, giving the chandelier a balanced profile from all viewing angles. The polished brass finish shows visible reflections under direct light and develops a deeper patina over time unless regularly cleaned. The crystal drops are individually wired onto the frame and can be removed for cleaning or storage. At 4.1kg the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixings suitable for the combined weight of the frame, shades and bulbs.

Fixings must be rated to carry the 4.1kg weight securely once the crystal drops are attached.

What bulbs does the Siena take?

The chandelier takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. We suggest pairing this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the amber shades and polished brass finish.

Is the Siena dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself does not contain dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs and dimmer you choose.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop of 600-780mm works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For dining tables, the chandelier typically sits 700-900mm above the table surface. For entrance halls or living rooms, a minimum clearance of 2m above floor level is recommended.

How is the polished brass maintained?

Polished brass develops a natural patina over time. To maintain the high-shine finish, wipe the frame with a dry microfibre cloth. For tarnish removal, use a brass polish applied sparingly with a soft cloth, avoiding contact with the crystal drops and silk shades.
