Description

The Siena is a 63cm 6-light crystal chandelier built on a polished chrome frame with six curved arms extending from a central column, each holding a black silk-string shade and a polished crystal droplet beneath. The chrome arms sweep outward and upward from the centre, creating a broad spread across the 630mm diameter while the black shades reduce the visual weight of the upper fixture. A central crystal sphere sits at the hub where the arms meet, adding a focal point of refracted light.

Designed for dining rooms and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Siena provides ambient and decorative lighting where a traditional chandelier silhouette is wanted but without brass or bronze finishes. The adjustable drop ranges from 600mm to 780mm, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or lower in a double-height space. The six E14 fittings take candle-style bulbs (sold separately), with the white inner lining of each black shade reflecting light downward while the silk-string exterior softens the spread.

The polished chrome finish on the metal frame creates high reflectivity under both daylight and artificial light, while the black shades absorb rather than reflect, giving contrast between the bright metal and the darker textile. Each shade measures approximately 110mm diameter at the base, sized to balance the scale of the arms without blocking the chrome detailing. The crystal droplets hang on individual links below each shade, catching light as they move slightly with air circulation in the room. At 3.2kg the chandelier requires a ceiling fixing rated for at least 5kg and compatible with standard UK ceiling roses.

What bulbs does the Siena take?

The chandelier takes six E14 (small Edison screw) candle-style bulbs, sold separately. Most buyers pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in 2700K warm white for ambient dining room or living room lighting. The fitting is compatible with dimmable bulbs when used with a compatible dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 600mm to 780mm. For positioning above a dining table the chandelier typically sits 750-850mm above the table surface, which suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In higher-ceiling spaces the drop can be set to the maximum 780mm.

Can the chandelier be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The standard canopy is designed for flat ceilings. Installation on a sloped ceiling requires an angled ceiling rose adapter (not included) to keep the chandelier hanging vertically.

How is the drop length adjusted?

The suspension cable is adjusted during installation by shortening the length of cable between the canopy and the chandelier body. This is typically done by an electrician at the time of fitting, before the ceiling canopy is fixed in place.
