Description

The Siena is a 55cm diameter 4-light chandelier with polished chrome arms radiating symmetrically from a central body, each holding a black silk string shade lined with white fabric inside. Four E14 bulbs sit within the shades (sold separately), and faceted crystal droplets hang beneath each arm and from a central sphere, refracting light across the ceiling and walls.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Siena provides ambient light filtered through the black fabric shades while the chrome and crystal elements add decorative sparkle. The adjustable drop ranges from 600mm to 780mm on installation, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or centred in a hallway at a comfortable head clearance. The polished chrome finish reflects room light during the day and enhances the visual presence of the fitting even when switched off.

The black silk string shades contrast sharply with the reflective chrome, giving the Siena a contemporary edge that works in both modern interiors and period rooms where a lighter touch is needed than a traditional brass-and-glass chandelier. The white lining inside each shade maximises light output while maintaining the black exterior appearance. The faceted crystal droplets are cut in a teardrop profile, with one droplet beneath each arm and a larger sphere beneath the central body. At 2.8kg the fitting is relatively light for its visual scale, making it suitable for standard plasterboard ceilings with a correctly rated ceiling rose.

For lighter fittings such as this, a correctly rated ceiling rose gives a secure fixing on most standard ceilings.

What bulbs does the Siena take?

The chandelier takes four E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. We suggest pairing this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K. The maximum wattage depends on the bulb type chosen.

Is the Siena dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair the chandelier with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The chandelier frame itself has no built-in dimming restriction.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop of 600-780mm allows the chandelier to suit rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For dining tables the chandelier typically sits 700-900mm above the table surface, which works in most standard-height dining rooms.

How is the chrome maintained?

Polished chrome is wiped with a soft dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid spraying household cleaners directly onto the chrome or the shades as this can leave streaks or damage the fabric.
