Description

The Siena is a 55cm 4-light chandelier built on an antique brass frame with four curved arms, each supporting an amber silk string shade over an E14 bulb fitting. Amber crystal pendalogues hang beneath the arms alongside a clear central sphere, catching and refracting light from the shades above.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Siena combines decorative presence with ambient lighting. The 600mm minimum drop positions the fixture comfortably above a dining table or in the centre of a hallway, with an adjustable cable allowing extension to 780mm where ceiling height permits. The four E14 bulbs (sold separately) are each hidden inside the pleated silk string shades, which diffuse the light into a warm amber glow rather than directing it downward.

The antique brass finish carries a subtle tarnished patina that softens reflections and pairs well with traditional, classical and warm-toned interiors. The amber silk shades are hand-pleated and create vertical ribbing that adds texture when the fitting is viewed from below. The crystal drops beneath each arm move slightly in air currents, adding occasional flashes of refracted light. At 2.8kg the chandelier requires a ceiling rose rated for at least 5kg and appropriate fixings into joist or solid ceiling material.

The Siena is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing light output to be adjusted for dining or ambient evening use. The amber shades and antique brass complement interiors with ochre, cream, terracotta and warm grey palettes, while the crystal drops add a classical decorative detail without overwhelming the frame.

The chandelier requires four E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K to match the amber tone of the shades. Maximum recommended wattage per bulb is 40W.

Is it suitable for dining tables?

Yes. The 600mm minimum drop positions the chandelier approximately 1.4-1.6m above floor level in a room with 2.4m ceilings, which works well centred over a dining table. The 550mm diameter suits tables 1.2-1.8m in length.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by adjusting the cable length within the ceiling rose. Once installed, the height is fixed unless the ceiling rose is reopened and the cable repositioned.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

Switch off power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the antique brass frame with a dry microfibre cloth. The amber shades can be dusted gently with a soft brush. The crystal drops can be wiped with a barely-damp cloth, then dried immediately to prevent water marks.
