The hinged front door panel latches shut and can be opened for bulb replacement without removing the lantern from the wall.

Designed for porches, entrance canopies, garage walls and covered outdoor areas, the Shepherd carries an IP44 rating for protection against water spray and solid objects above 1mm. The E27 socket accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing a choice between warm-white LED filament bulbs for a gas-lantern effect or higher-output LEDs for brighter security lighting. The 184mm projection from the wall keeps the lantern clear of doorways and window frames.
