Description

The Knightsbridge shaver socket combines a 230V 20VA shaver outlet with dual USB charging (one USB-A and one USB-C port) behind a white rounded-edge faceplate. The 7mm-thick thermoset resin plate carries an anti-microbial coating that inhibits bacterial growth on the surface, making it appropriate for bathroom and hotel installations where hygiene standards are prioritised.

Designed for bathrooms, en-suites and hotel guest rooms, the socket provides shaver and toothbrush charging at 230V alongside 5V DC device charging for phones, tablets and cordless grooming devices. The IP41 rating protects against solid objects above 1mm and vertically falling water droplets, meeting UK requirements for bathroom electrical installations in zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and bath area). The socket fits a standard 47mm minimum back box depth.

The rounded-edge design avoids the sharp corners of traditional faceplates, reducing chipping risk during installation and cleaning. Yes. The IP41 rating meets UK Building Regulations for bathroom installation in zones 2 and 3, which are areas outside the shower enclosure and bath. It cannot be installed directly above a bath or inside a shower cubicle (zone 1 or 0).
