Description

The Knightsbridge SF8909BN is a 230V shaver socket with integrated USB-A and USB-C charging ports behind a black nickel screwless faceplate with a black insert. The unit combines a dual-voltage shaver outlet (115V and 230V) with 5V DC USB charging at 2.4A shared output, allowing shavers and electric toothbrushes to run simultaneously with phone or tablet charging.

Designed specifically for bathroom installation, the socket carries an IP41 rating that protects against solid objects larger than 1mm and vertically dripping water. The built-in gasket behind the screwless cover plate provides additional moisture resistance when the cover is correctly fitted to the metal sub-frame. The 230VAC 20VA transformer isolates the shaver outlet from the mains supply, meeting EN 61558 safety certification for use in wet environments.

The socket requires a 47mm minimum back box depth for safe installation. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. The black nickel finish provides a dark metallic accent that pairs with contemporary bathroom schemes, particularly where black tapware, shower fittings or mirror frames are already in use. The 4.3mm projection from the wall gives a low profile that suits tight clearances around mirrors and splashbacks.
