Description

The Share is an 85mm recessed downlight with a white outer bezel and a matte gold interior reflector that tilts up to 25° on a swivel mechanism. The fitting accepts a single GU10 bulb up to 15W (sold separately) and mounts flush with the ceiling, with only the bezel and gold cone visible once installed.

Designed for residential and commercial applications where directed accent lighting is needed without visible surface fittings, the Share suits hallways, living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and retail spaces. The 25° tilt allows the beam to be angled towards artwork, feature walls, worktops or seating areas rather than fixed straight down. The aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at under 200g while the spring-clip mounting system secures it into a cut ceiling void without needing additional fixings.

The matte gold cone adds a warm metallic accent visible when looking up at the fitting, contrasting with the white outer bezel that blends into typical white or off-white ceilings. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments only — bathrooms and outdoor soffits require higher IP ratings. The combination of the recessed profile and the swivel function makes the Share practical where fixed-beam downlights would leave parts of a room underlit or where surface-mount spotlights would project too far from the ceiling.

What bulb does it take?

The Share takes a single GU10 bulb up to 15W. GU10 LED bulbs in the 4-7W range are typical, offering equivalent light output to older 35-50W halogen GU10s. Bulbs are sold separately.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not splash-proof or moisture-resistant. Bathrooms require downlights rated IP44 or higher depending on zone placement.

How is the swivel adjusted?

Once installed, the inner cone can be tilted up to 25° from vertical by hand. The mechanism holds the angle through friction — no locking screw is needed. This allows the beam direction to be changed after installation without removing the fitting.

What ceiling void depth is required?

The 3.7cm height refers to the visible bezel projection below the ceiling. A typical recessed downlight requires 80-100mm of ceiling void depth to accommodate the fitting body and the spring clips that secure it. Check the installation manual for exact void requirements before cutting the ceiling aperture.
