Description

The Share is a 102mm plaster-in recessed downlight with a white aluminium bezel and a matte gold reflector cone, housing a single GU10 bulb fitting rated at 10W. The fitting installs into a ceiling void with the white bezel designed to be plastered over, creating a flush finish where only the gold interior and bulb aperture remain visible once decorated.

The downlight swivels through 25° of tilt, allowing the light beam to be angled towards artwork, alcoves, seating areas or architectural details rather than pointing straight down. This makes it suitable for living rooms, hallways, kitchens and retail spaces where directed accent lighting is needed without visible track or surface-mounted fittings. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas — not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies.

The matte gold reflector adds warmth to the light output and provides a visual accent when the ceiling is viewed from below, contrasting with the white plaster surround. The aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at around 180g, reducing strain on plasterboard ceilings. The 37mm installation depth fits most standard ceiling voids and requires approximately 120mm clearance above the plasterboard for safe fitting and ventilation around the GU10 lamp.

The Share takes a GU10 bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 between 5-7W and 2700K-3000K to complement the matte gold reflector.

How is the plaster-in bezel installed?

The white aluminium bezel is designed to sit flush with the plasterboard ceiling. After electrical connection and positioning, the bezel is plastered over during ceiling finishing, leaving only the gold interior cone and bulb aperture visible once decoration is complete.

What ceiling void depth is required?

The fitting has a 37mm installation depth but requires approximately 120mm clearance above the plasterboard for safe fitting, bulb access and heat dissipation around the GU10 lamp.

Can the light direction be adjusted after plastering?

Yes. The inner cone swivels through 25° of tilt even after the bezel has been plastered in, allowing the light beam to be angled without disturbing the ceiling finish.
