Description

This shabby chic round wall clock has an open, cut out dial in MDF, so your wall shows through every gap between the numerals. Two rings make up the face: a wide outer ring carrying bold Roman numerals and a smaller inner ring around the centre, joined by four slim spokes that meet at a round central disc. The numerals, spokes and centre disc are white, while the rings carry a warm, distressed natural wood tone that gives the whole clock a well loved vintage character. Black hands with spade tips stand out clearly against the pale dial. It measures 60cm across and 4cm deep.

At 60cm across, this is a large clock made for a generous wall, and it reads easily from the far side of a living room. We like it above a sofa, over a fireplace or at the centre of a long, plain wall, where its size gives the room a clear focal point. The open dial keeps it light on the eye, so even at this scale it never feels heavy, and the soft white and wood tones sit happily in farmhouse, cottage and shabby chic rooms alike.

Behind the dial is a quartz movement that runs on one AA battery (MN1500), which is not included, so it is worth having one ready.
