The Serene is a 150mm diameter outdoor wall light housing two G9 bulbs behind a circular matte white plastic diffuser, mounted on a die-cast aluminium backplate finished in white powder coat. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for covered patios, porch ceilings, and exterior walls under eaves or canopies where direct rainfall is minimal.

Designed for entryways, patio walls, and garden paths where a clean, low-profile fitting is needed without excessive projection, the Serene sits approximately 100mm out from the wall when installed. The two G9 bulbs (sold separately) provide 360-degree light diffusion through the plastic lens, suitable for ambient lighting rather than focused downlighting. The fitting is compatible with dimmable G9 LED bulbs when paired with an appropriate dimmer switch.

The die-cast construction and powder-coated finish resist corrosion in typical UK coastal and urban environments, though the IP54 rating means the fitting should not be installed in fully exposed positions subject to heavy rain or direct hose-down cleaning. The white finish matches most exterior trim and blends into render, weatherboard and painted masonry without creating a strong visual contrast. The Serene takes two G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs in the 2-5W range and 2700K-3000K colour temperature for warm white outdoor ambient lighting. The fitting is compatible with dimmable G9 LEDs when used with an appropriate dimmer switch.

Can it be installed horizontally or vertically?

The circular design allows installation in any orientation on a vertical wall surface. The internal bulb holders are fixed, so the G9 capsules will sit at the same angle regardless of how the fitting is rotated during installation.

How is the diffuser cleaned?

The matte white plastic diffuser can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth to remove surface dust and pollen. For heavier soiling, a mild soapy water solution is acceptable. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the powder-coated aluminium or plastic lens.
