Description

A short, wide cylinder in faux silk, finished in a soft nude beige with a moonlight lining that catches the light from within. The weave has a quiet sheen rather than a gloss, so the colour reads warm by day and warmer still once the lamp is on. At 16cm across and 11cm tall it is wider than it is deep, which keeps the proportions settled on a small base and stops a slim lamp looking overloaded.

This is the size we reach for on bedside lamps, dressing tables and hall consoles, where a tall drum would sit too heavily. It works equally well over a pendant flex in a bedroom corner or a small landing, throwing light down onto the floor and up towards the ceiling. We would put a golf ball LED inside it, which suits the shallow depth and keeps the fabric clear of the lamp. Buyers often take two for a matched pair either side of a bed, and it is light enough to lift and reposition with one hand.

Faux silk over a round cylinder form, with the second tone on the inside face rather than the outside, so the beige stays even wherever you view it from. Keep it dry and dust it with a soft brush or the upholstery attachment on a vacuum, working around the shade rather than across the fabric; damp cloths and sprays will mark it. It carries a one year warranty.
