Description

The Seraphis is an 800mm alabaster ring chandelier built around a continuous circular band carved from natural Spanish alabaster, suspended horizontally on fine cables from a brushed brass canopy. An integrated 3000K LED runs inside the ring, casting warm light evenly through the 60mm stone section so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser. The design is deliberately pared back, leaving the stone and its veining as the focal element.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, entrance halls and stairwell voids with sufficient ceiling height, the Seraphis works best where its full circular form can be read from below and from a distance. The 800mm diameter suits dining tables of 1.6m or longer and kitchen islands of similar scale, typically hung 700-800mm above the surface. The brushed brass canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the suspension cables can be shortened on installation to set the drop.

Each ring is carved from solid alabaster, so the veining, mineral density and tonal variation flow organically around the full circumference and differ between individual pieces. Softly honed surfaces keep the internal structure of the stone visible, producing layered transitions between translucent and opaque areas when the LED is lit. The consistent 60mm section gives the band a precise sculptural profile, and the brushed brass details on the canopy and cable terminations add a warm metallic counterpoint to the pale stone.

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
