Description
The Sendero Gold Pulse is an 80x160cm acrylic painting on canvas featuring horizontal striations in matte grey tones overlaid with a vertical column of hand-applied gold leaf. The gold leaf is applied in irregular fragments that catch light differently depending on viewing angle, creating texture and movement across the otherwise flat grey surface. The canvas is mounted on a traditional wooden stretcher frame with a 4cm depth that allows the piece to be wall-hung without additional framing.
Designed for large-scale residential and hospitality walls, the 160cm width suits placement above a sofa, sideboard or bed headboard, or as a standalone feature on an open wall in living rooms, dining rooms and hotel reception areas. The horizontal orientation works best on walls with clear sightlines of 2.5-3m or more, where the striations and gold detail can be read from a distance. The grey base colour pairs comfortably with both dark charcoal interiors and lighter neutral schemes without competing visually.
The gold leaf is applied by hand after the acrylic base has cured, so each canvas shows slight variation in the exact placement and density of the gold fragments. This is characteristic of the hand-finishing process rather than a defect. The combined canvas, stretcher and protective backing give the piece a total weight of 2.2kg, which can be supported on standard picture hooks or wall fixings rated for that load. The 4cm stretcher depth creates a subtle shadow gap between the canvas and the wall when hung.

Frequently Asked
Does the painting require framing?
No. The canvas is already mounted on a 4cm-deep wooden stretcher frame and can be hung directly on wall fixings without additional framing. The stretcher depth creates a shadow gap that gives the piece visual presence when mounted.
Is each painting identical?
The grey acrylic base is consistent across pieces, but the gold leaf is applied by hand after the base has cured, so the exact placement and density of the gold fragments varies slightly between individual canvases. This is a characteristic of the hand-finishing process.
What wall fixings are needed?
The total weight is 2.2kg. Standard picture hooks, D-rings or wall fixings rated for 3-5kg will support the canvas safely. The back of the stretcher frame includes hanging points compatible with most picture wire or hook systems.
How should the canvas be cleaned?
Dust gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or feather duster. Do not use water, cleaning sprays or polishes on the gold leaf or acrylic surface, as these can damage the finish or lift the leaf.
