Saten Crystal Wall Light - Smoked Silver

The Saten is a 25cm crystal wall light built from faceted K9 crystal mesh mounted on a metal backing plate finished in smoked silver. The crystals are arranged in a diamond-faceted pattern across an angled geometric form, mixing clear and smoke-tinted glass that refracts light through multiple angles. A single G9 10W bulb (included) sits behind the crystal mesh, casting 550 lumens through the faceted surface.

Designed for hallways, bedroom accent walls, dining room side walls and lounge areas where decorative wall lighting is needed without the scale of a pendant or chandelier, the Saten provides ambient light rather than task light. The 14cm projection from the wall and the 29cm height give the fitting enough presence to register as a decorative object when unlit. The angled form creates changing shadow patterns across the wall surface depending on viewing angle.

The smoked silver finish on the metal backing plate gives a gunmetal grey tone that softens the reflectivity compared to polished chrome, while the mix of clear and smoked crystals prevents the fitting from reading as either fully transparent or fully opaque. The crystals are individually linked on a metal armature, so light passes between them as well as through them, creating overlapping sparkle effects under artificial light and daylight. The 0.72kg weight requires a solid wall fixing rather than plasterboard alone.

Manufactured by Schuller in Spain, the Saten carries IP20 rating for dry indoor use only and operates on standard UK 220-240V mains with a Class 1 earth connection. The G9 bulb is replaceable and the fitting is compatible with dimmable G9 LEDs where a compatible dimmer is installed.

Does the bulb come with the fitting?

Yes. The Saten includes a G9 10W bulb rated at 550 lumens. The bulb is replaceable and the fitting accepts any standard G9 capsule bulb up to 10W.

Is the Saten dimmable?

The included G9 bulb is not dimmable. The fitting itself is compatible with dimmable G9 LED bulbs if a compatible dimmer is installed on the circuit, but you would need to replace the supplied bulb with a dimmable variant.

What wall fixing is required?

The 0.72kg weight requires a solid wall fixing into brick, block or timber stud. Plasterboard fixings alone are not sufficient. The backplate has pre-drilled mounting holes and the fitting requires a Class 1 earth connection to the mains supply.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Saten is suitable for dry indoor areas only and is not protected against moisture ingress. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor locations.
