Sasha 3 Light E27 Semi Flush Ceiling Light 40.5cm - Antique Brass

Three lamps sit behind an opal white glass diffuser, with clear crystal glass set around a frame finished in antique brass. Being semi flush, it holds close to the ceiling while keeping just enough drop for the crystal to catch light from the sides. The round body measures 40.5cm across, which gives it real presence on a plain ceiling rather than leaving it looking like a filler. The light itself reads soft and even through the opal glass, with brightness picked up and scattered by the crystal at the perimeter.

We reach for this one where a chandelier or a pendant would hang too low: landings, hallways, bedrooms with modest ceiling heights and smaller dining rooms. It takes E27 lamps, and we would fit LED candles, which suit the shape of the fitting and keep the running cost sensible. It can be dimmed if you pair suitable lamps with a compatible dimmer, though neither comes with it. An earth connection is required. It suits dry rooms about the house, so keep it away from bathroom zones and open porches.

The antique brass has a warmer, softer tone than polished metal, and sits comfortably with older woodwork as well as painted plaster. To keep it bright, switch off at the wall and lift dust from the crystal with a clean dry brush, then take fingermarks off the opal glass with a barely damp cloth and buff dry. It carries a one year warranty. The same fitting is offered in polished chrome, and the range extends to smaller flush ceiling lights, wall lights and table lamps in both finishes, so a hall and the rooms leading off it can be kept in step. Lamps are not included.

What lamps does this fitting take?

It takes three E27 screw lamps, with LED candle (C35) lamps recommended, up to 20W each. Lamps are supplied separately.

Can I dim it?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable lamps and a dimmer switch matched to them. Neither a dimmer nor lamps are included.

How far does it hang below the ceiling?

The overall height is 340mm, with a diameter of 405mm, so it stays close to the ceiling and works in rooms where a pendant would feel too low.

What is the crystal made from?

It uses clear Deco Select crystal glass, paired with an opal white glass diffuser.

How should I clean the crystal?

Switch off at the wall and let the lamps cool. A soft brush or dry cloth removes dust; for fingermarks, a lightly damp cloth then a dry one. Avoid sprays and solvents.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

No. It is rated for dry indoor spaces only, so keep it to halls, bedrooms and living or dining rooms.
