Description

The Sapphire is a 600mm flush ceiling light built around a scalloped glass bowl in warm amber tones, finished with a brass metal collar at the centre and a decorative crystal finial. Six E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the bowl, illuminating the textured interior surface of the glass which scatters light across the ceiling and into the room. The glass itself is transparent, with fine grit decoration worked into the inside surface creating diffused radial patterns when lit.

Designed for rooms with standard to low ceiling heights (2.4-2.7m), the Sapphire mounts flush to the ceiling and projects approximately 150-180mm downward including the finial, making it suitable for hallways, dining rooms, bedrooms and living rooms where a traditional chandelier would hang too low. The 600mm diameter provides coverage for rooms up to 15-20m², with six bulbs distributing light across the space rather than concentrating it in one downward beam.

The amber-toned glass gives warm-white LED bulbs (2700-3000K) an additional honey cast, creating a warm ambient glow particularly suited to traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The brass metalwork at the centre provides a visual anchor and coordinates with brass switches, cabinet hardware or other metallic accents in the room. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry interior rooms only.

The Sapphire is manufactured by Ideal Lux, an Italian lighting brand operating since 1974, and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
