Description

The Saona is a 300mm round LED flush ceiling light with an integrated 30W LED delivering 2700 lumens at 4000K cool white. The fitting sits 42mm from the ceiling surface, making it one of the lower-profile options in Mantra's range and particularly suited to rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where deeper pendants or semi-flush fittings would hang too low.

Designed as a primary light source for bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms and kitchens up to approximately 12-15m², the Saona's 110-degree beam angle spreads light evenly across the ceiling plane without creating a concentrated hotspot in the centre. The matt white finish on the housing blends into white ceilings, giving the fitting a near-flush appearance once installed. The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral, slightly cool white light that suits task-oriented spaces and modern interiors.

The circular diffuser is made from white plastic with a smooth texture that softens the LED output and prevents direct glare when standing beneath the fitting. The housing is also plastic, keeping the total weight to 1.66kg, which allows installation on standard plasterboard ceilings without additional support. The integrated LED cannot be replaced, but the 30W rating and 2700lm output should maintain useful brightness for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of typical domestic use.

Is this suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 42mm projection from ceiling to base of fitting makes the Saona one of the lower-profile flush lights in the Mantra range. It works well in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.4m where semi-flush or pendant fittings would sit too low.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable and should be connected to a standard on/off switch only. Attempting to dim the fitting with an incompatible dimmer may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

What size room does this light?

The 2700lm output and 110-degree beam angle provide general illumination for rooms up to approximately 12-15m². For larger open-plan spaces, two or more Saona fittings spaced evenly across the ceiling will give more consistent coverage.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The expected lifespan is approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, equivalent to 8-10 years of typical domestic operation before noticeable brightness decline.
