Description
The San Marino is an 8-light chandelier with a textured pewter metal frame and eight curved arms, each topped with a frosted opal white glass shade housing an E14 bulb. The frame is built around a central column that distributes the arms evenly across a 540mm diameter spread, giving the chandelier a balanced symmetrical form when viewed from below. Eight E14 bulbs are included with the fitting.
Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the San Marino sits 1000mm from ceiling rose to the bottom of the lowest shade before any chain adjustment. The curved pewter arms create an open geometric pattern that allows light to spread outwards and downwards without being blocked by the frame itself. The frosted glass diffuses the light from each bulb, softening glare while maintaining brightness across the room.
The textured pewter finish on the metalwork has a subtle grain that catches light differently to polished or smooth pewter, giving the frame depth under both daylight and artificial light. The opal white glass shades sit in pewter cups at the end of each arm, visually separating the metal and glass elements. At 6.8kg the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or reinforced rose — the weight is distributed across the chain and canopy rather than sitting flush to the ceiling.
The San Marino pairs well with interiors that combine traditional architectural features (cornicing, picture rails) with contemporary furniture, and works equally in period properties and newer builds where a classic lighting style is preferred. The pewter tone sits between the warmth of brass and the coolness of chrome, making it compatible with both warm-toned woods and cooler greys in the same space.

Frequently Asked
Are the bulbs included?
Yes. The San Marino ships with eight E14 bulbs. The specification confirms dimmable lamps are required if you plan to use the chandelier with a dimmer switch, so check the included bulbs are marked as dimmable or replace them with dimmable E14 LEDs if needed.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 1000mm drop from ceiling rose to the lowest point of the chandelier works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. For dining tables the chandelier typically hangs 750-850mm above the table surface, which requires a room height of at least 2.8m to avoid the fitting sitting too low when seated.
How is the chandelier installed?
At 6.8kg the San Marino requires fixing into a ceiling joist or a reinforced ceiling rose capable of supporting the weight. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient. The chandelier connects to mains wiring via a ceiling rose and hangs on chain, which can be shortened during installation to adjust the drop height.
Can the pewter finish be cleaned?
The textured pewter frame can be dusted with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a slightly damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal or using abrasive cleaners that could damage the textured finish. The frosted glass shades can be removed and washed in warm soapy water, then dried before refitting.
