Description
The Salomon is a 1.62m tall floor lamp built around two parallel vertical posts in satin nickel, spaced to create a ladder-style frame. Four glass shades sit at staggered heights between the posts, each housing a G9 bulb fitting. Two of the shades are frosted, two are clear, alternating up the frame to create a rhythm of diffused and direct light.
Designed for living rooms, hallway alcoves and bedroom corners with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Salomon provides ambient light through the frosted shades and directed accent light through the clear ones. The narrow 320mm x 200mm footprint allows the lamp to sit against a wall or in a corner without occupying floor space needed for furniture. The four G9 bulbs operate independently, so fitting dimmable G9 capsules and pairing with a dimmer switch gives control over total light output from 40W up to the 160W maximum.
The satin nickel finish on the frame provides a mid-tone metallic surface that sits between polished chrome and brushed steel, pairing comfortably with cool grey, charcoal and white interiors. The ladder construction gives the lamp a vertical, sculptural presence without the weight of a solid post. At 9.2kg the base provides stability on carpet and hard floors, and the geometric arrangement of the four shades creates visual interest when the lamp is viewed from different angles in the room.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Salomon take?
The lamp takes four G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. G9 bulbs are available in LED (most common, 2-5W), halogen (up to 40W each) and eco-halogen. The total wattage across all four bulbs must not exceed 160W. Most users pair this with four 3-4W warm white LED G9 bulbs.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and paired with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LED capsules are dimmable — check the bulb packaging before purchasing.
What's the difference between the frosted and clear shades?
The frosted shades diffuse the bulb filament or LED chip, creating soft ambient light. The clear shades expose the bulb directly, producing sharper light with more visible definition. The lamp alternates frosted and clear shades up the frame, giving a mix of diffused and directed light.
What ceiling height is needed?
At 1.62m tall, the Salomon suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceilinged rooms the top shade will sit quite close to the ceiling, which is acceptable but reduces the vertical space between lamp and ceiling plane.
