Description

The Salmenne is a round LED flush ceiling light, 41cm across and just 6.5cm deep, with a white steel body and a white plastic diffuser. Fine silver lines sweep out from the centre of the diffuser like the spokes of a wheel, scattered with tiny silver speckles, so the shade still looks finished during the day, whenever the light is not lit. The LED is integrated, and its 19.5W gives 2,300 lumens of warm white light at 3000K. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and outdoor spaces.

Because it sits close to the ceiling, the Salmenne suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel low overhead, such as hallways, landings, bedrooms and living rooms. Its 2,300 lumens give enough brightness for it to work as the main light in a room, and the warm white tone keeps the space comfortable in the evening. The silver detailing adds a little sparkle to a plain white ceiling, and the neutral white and silver finish sits easily with most colour schemes.
