Description

The Salmenne is a round LED flush ceiling light, 31cm across and only 6cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling and keeps the headroom clear. A white steel body holds a white plastic diffuser decorated with fine silver lines that sweep out from the centre, dotted with tiny specks between them. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no separate bulb to buy or fit. It draws 10W and gives 1,100 lumens at 3000K, a warm light. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms only.

Because it is so shallow, the Salmenne suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low: a hallway or landing, a bedroom, a study or a box room with a modest ceiling height. At 31cm across it is sized for smaller rooms and passageways rather than a large open-plan space. With 1,100 lumens it gives plenty of everyday light for a fitting this compact, and the warm white tone keeps a bedroom or landing comfortable in the evening.
