Description

Two spot heads sit on a slim linear plate, each tilting and turning so the light lands where you want it. The satin gold bodies are paired with matt black, a quiet contrast that reads as warm rather than brassy from across a room. At 250mm end to end this is a small fitting that keeps close to the ceiling, and each head takes a GU10 lamp. Nothing about it shouts: the outline is a plain rectangle and the interest comes from the finish.

We reach for a pair like this where a single central light leaves the edges of a room flat: above a kitchen worktop, along a short hallway, over a bookcase or a run of framed prints. The narrow plate means it can be aimed across a wall without the fitting itself becoming the thing you look at. Angled heads also earn their keep in a home office or a snug, and with suitable lamps and a compatible dimmer the pair can be brought down for the evening. Wiring is for indoor rooms on ordinary household mains.

The satin finish is soft rather than mirror bright, and the black detail carries through the heads as well as the plate. Each head is rated for an LED reflector lamp up to 10W, and lamps are bought separately. For cleaning, wait until the heads are cold, then lift dust with a dry cloth and keep polish and household sprays off the gold. It carries a one year warranty.
