Description
The Sal is a single-light wall light built around a curved matt black arm that extends 385mm from a circular backplate, ending in a cylindrical GU10 spotlight head. The lamp head rotates on its mount, allowing the beam to be directed up, down, or angled to the side depending on the task. The GU10 fitting accepts any standard GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to the rated wattage (sold separately).
Designed for bedside reading positions, hallway accent lighting, and workspaces where adjustable task light is needed without installing a fixed ceiling fitting, the Sal works in both residential and hospitality settings. The 165mm projection from the wall suits positions above headboards, flanking bathroom mirrors, or on landing walls where the light can be angled to illuminate stairs. The curved arm design prevents the fitting from appearing too rigid or industrial while maintaining a functional profile.
The matt black finish provides low surface reflectivity, making the fitting less visually prominent in daylight while the directed beam becomes the focal point when lit. The lightweight 0.55kg construction fixes to plasterboard and masonry walls with standard wall plugs and the backplate conceals the cable entry point. The fitting carries a 100-240V rating, making it compatible with UK mains and international voltage systems.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Sal takes a standard GU10 bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W GU10 LED in 2700K-3000K for reading positions, or a 4000K for task lighting in workspaces.
Can the spotlight head be adjusted?
Yes. The cylindrical lamp head rotates on its mount, allowing the beam to be directed up, down, or angled to the side. The curved arm is fixed to the backplate and does not rotate.
Is it suitable for use above a bed?
Yes. The 385mm height and 165mm projection suit bedside reading positions when mounted on the wall above a headboard. The adjustable head allows the beam to be directed onto the bed surface without spilling light across the room.
Is it dimmable?
The fitting itself is not dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb used — some GU10 LEDs are dimmable, others are not. Check the bulb specification before pairing with a dimmer switch.
