Description

The Saceda is a pendant light with a shade shaped like a curved half disc. It is black on the outside and lined with a crinkled gold-leaf finish on the inside. The steel shade is 41cm long and 28cm wide, and the whole light measures 150cm high overall. It hangs on a slim black cord from a round black ceiling canopy. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, which is not included, so the choice of warm or cool light is yours. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms only.

Seen from one side, the shade reads as a clean black sweep. From the other, the gold lining shows, so the light looks different depending on where you sit or stand. That makes it a good choice over a dining table, in a living room or a bedroom, or in a hallway where people pass it from both directions. A single pendant like this gives a room a focal point without crowding it. The black and gold pairing sits comfortably with dark woods, brass details or plain painted walls.
