The Sable is a four light semi-flush ceiling light for the bathroom, finished in matt black with glass shades set close to the ceiling. It projects 195mm down from the ceiling, keeping a low profile that suits standard bathroom ceiling heights without eating into the room below. Each of the four arms takes a G9 lamp, not included, running up to 3W each for a combined 12W, and the matt black frame paired with glass keeps the look simple and current rather than fussy.

Rated IP44, the Sable is built for use in the bathroom as well as anywhere else in the home. Four lamps spread the light evenly around the room, which suits a bathroom well, giving enough brightness for the mirror, shaving or make-up without one harsh pool of light in the middle of the ceiling. Is the Sable suitable for a bathroom?

Yes. It's rated IP44, which protects against splashing water from any direction, so it's suitable for zone 1 and zone 2 in a bathroom, though not for zone 0 inside the bath or shower itself. If you're at all unsure which zone you're working with, it's worth checking with a qualified electrician.

What size room does the Sable suit?
