Description

The Sabina is a 590mm flush ceiling light with a brown linen shade stretched over a shallow drum frame, backed by a frosted white acrylic diffuser. Five E27 bulb fittings inside the diffuser cast light upwards through the frosted panel, which scatters it outwards through the linen weave. The 140mm total height makes it suited to rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms in flats and period properties with lower ceilings, the Sabina provides general ambient light rather than task lighting. The linen shade softens the light quality and adds a woven texture visible from below during the day. The brown tone pairs with warm neutrals, oak furniture and natural-toned interiors, while the frosted diffuser prevents hotspots or visible bulb glare when looking up at the fitting.

The five E27 sockets accept standard screw bulbs up to a combined wattage that depends on the bulbs chosen (specification allows for 100-240V operation, so international bulb types are compatible). Using five 6-8W warm-white LED bulbs gives around 2,500-3,000 lumens total output, sufficient for a 20-25m² room. The linen is stretched over a rigid frame and fixed in place, so it cannot be removed for washing, but can be dusted with a soft brush or vacuumed gently on a low setting.

Is the Sabina suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 140mm height means the fitting projects only 14cm from the ceiling, making it well-suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.4m or lower where a pendant would hang into head space.

What bulbs does it take?

The Sabina takes five E27 (Edison screw) bulbs. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W each, giving a combined output of 2,500-4,000 lumens depending on bulb choice.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but both the bulbs and the wall dimmer must be rated for the bulb type (LED, halogen, or filament).

Can the linen shade be cleaned?

The linen is stretched over a fixed frame and cannot be removed. Dust can be brushed off gently with a soft brush or vacuumed on a low setting with a brush attachment. Avoid water or cleaning sprays as linen is absorbent and may stain.
