Sabina 2 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Brown Linen Shade

The Sabina is a 310mm flush ceiling light with a brown linen shade stretched over a shallow dome frame and a frosted white diffuser on the underside. Two E27 bulb fittings sit behind the diffuser, casting light through both the frosted base and outward through the translucent linen weave, giving a soft ambient glow with texture.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the Sabina sits just 90mm proud of the ceiling and works in bedrooms, hallways, entrance areas and smaller living rooms. The linen shade diffuses light across 360 degrees, avoiding the direct glare that unshaded bulbs can create in low-ceiling spaces. The brown tone of the linen pairs with warm-toned interiors, natural wood furniture and neutral wall colours.

The linen itself is a woven textile with visible texture, not a printed pattern, so the shade shows variation in tone and weave density when lit from within. The frosted diffuser beneath prevents the bulb filaments from being visible through the linen when looking up at the fitting. The two E27 sockets accept standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 40W each (bulbs sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

Is the Sabina suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. At just 90mm projection from the ceiling, the Sabina works in rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low. The flush mount keeps the fitting close to the ceiling while still providing ambient light distribution.

What bulbs does it take?

The Sabina takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E27 bulbs and paired with a compatible dimmer switch. The dimmer and bulbs must be matched to avoid flickering or buzzing at lower brightness levels.

Can the linen shade be cleaned?

The linen shade can be dusted gently with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. Avoid wet cleaning or household sprays, as moisture can mark the fabric or cause the linen to shrink on its frame.
