Description

The Rovito is a square LED panel light for the ceiling, a slim white plastic frame around a white plastic diffuser, 39cm long, 39cm wide and just 3cm deep. The LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and the panel gives 2,400 lumens. Its colour temperature is given as 2700K, 4000K and 6500K, which runs from a warm, homely white through a neutral white to a crisp daylight white. It carries an IP44 rating, meaning it is protected from splashing water, so it can go where steam and splashes are part of daily life.

That rating is why we like it for bathrooms, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone, and it suits kitchens and utility rooms just as well. Because it sits so close to the ceiling, it works under low ceilings and in loft rooms where a hanging pendant would get in the way. The plain square shape and white finish blend into a white ceiling and suit modern, clean-lined rooms, while the cooler whites give clear light for shaving, make-up and food preparation, and the warm white softens a hallway or living room in the evening.

Both the body and the diffuser are plastic, which keeps the whole panel to 1.27KG and easy to handle when fitting. The LED and driver are not replaceable, so they stay with the panel for good rather than being parts to change. There is no switch on the light itself; it runs from your wall switch on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz supply, and its energy class is E. As a wired-in mains light it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Before ordering, check that the ceiling has a clear 39cm square of space for it to sit neatly.
