Description

The Ros is a pendant light built around a single clear glass sphere housing a black metal inner shade, suspended on a vertical black rod punctuated by four smaller clear glass bubbles. A single GU10 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the black metal shade within the main glass sphere, directing light downwards while the clear glass elements refract ambient light in multiple directions.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, and stairwells with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 4.5m, the Ros offers an adjustable drop from 740mm to 3625mm on installation. The vertical rod configuration suits taller ceiling spaces where a longer drop creates visual balance, and the four smaller glass bubbles break up the cable run to add decorative interest across the full height. The 160mm diameter of the main sphere keeps the pendant compact enough for single-placement over a small dining table or as one of multiple pendants along a kitchen island.

The black powder-coated metal frame and canopy contrast with the clear blown glass, giving the fitting a defined silhouette that reads clearly in both traditional and contemporary interiors. The clear glass spheres show slight manufacturing variation in bubble placement and thickness, typical of blown glass production. The pendant takes a single GU10 mains-voltage bulb up to 28W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting over a dining table or kitchen island.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by shortening the rod assembly. The range is 740mm to 3625mm. Once installed, changing the height requires partial disassembly of the rod and glass bubble configuration.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

At minimum drop (740mm) the pendant can work in rooms with 2.4m ceilings, particularly over a dining table where the pendant hangs above head height. For general room lighting in low-ceiling spaces, a flush or semi-flush fitting may be more appropriate.

Is the glass hand-blown?

Yes. The clear glass spheres are blown glass, so slight variation in bubble placement, wall thickness and clarity between individual pieces is normal and characteristic of the manufacturing process.
