Description

The Ros is a single-light pendant built around a 16cm clear glass sphere that houses a brass dome reflector and a GU10 bulb fitting. A brass rod runs vertically through the pendant, passing through three smaller clear glass spheres positioned above the main globe before terminating in a brass ceiling canopy. The rod and glass arrangement creates a vertical sequence of transparent bubbles that catch and refract light from the bulb below.

Designed for positions where a vertical pendant adds architectural interest without blocking sightlines, the Ros suits kitchen islands, dining tables, stairwells and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher. The adjustable cable allows the pendant to hang anywhere between 74cm and 362.5cm from the ceiling, so it can be shortened for standard residential ceilings or extended for double-height spaces. The clear glass spheres remain transparent when the light is off, minimising visual mass during daylight hours.

The brass finish on the rod, canopy and internal dome reflector provides warm metallic accents that pair with both traditional and contemporary interiors. The dome reflector inside the main sphere directs light downward while the brass surface reflects warm tones back through the glass. The three ascending glass bubbles on the rod diffuse secondary light upward as it passes through them, creating a softer halo effect above the pendant. The metal rod construction and 16cm glass sphere give the fitting enough physical presence to anchor a dining table or island position without requiring multiple pendants.

The pendant uses a single GU10 bulb up to 28W, sold separately. Most users fit a warm-white LED GU10 between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for dining and kitchen island positions.

How is the drop length adjusted?

The cable can be shortened or lengthened during installation to position the pendant anywhere between 74cm and 362.5cm from the ceiling. Once fitted, the length is fixed unless re-adjusted by an electrician.

Is the pendant suitable for low ceilings?

At minimum drop (74cm) the pendant works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upward. For a dining table or kitchen island the main globe typically sits 70-80cm above the surface, so a 2.4m ceiling would position the pendant base around 160cm from the floor when the table surface is at standard 75cm height.

Can the glass spheres be cleaned?

Yes. The clear glass spheres can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth. Switch off and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning. The brass rod and internal dome can be polished with a soft cloth to maintain the finish.
