Rond Up & Down Wall Light - White

The Rond is a 10cm diameter cylindrical wall light with a matt white aluminium body mounted on a concealed matt black backplate. A single G9 bulb inside the cylinder casts light both upwards and downwards through open apertures at the top and bottom, creating vertical beams on the wall surface while leaving the fitting itself as a neutral white form.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living areas where wall-washing accent light is needed without dominating the space, the Rond sits tight to the wall with an 8.8cm projection from the backplate. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor locations, but the compact 10cm footprint allows multiple fittings to be spaced evenly along corridor walls without crowding the vertical plane. The up-and-down projection adds vertical interest to low-ceilinged spaces or narrow passages where traditional ceiling lights would flatten the room.

The matt white aluminium finish diffuses ambient light softly and integrates cleanly with white or off-white wall colours, minimising the visual presence of the fitting when not lit. The G9 bulb base accepts halogen or LED capsules up to 50W, giving control over light temperature and output depending on the specific bulb chosen (sold separately). The matt black backplate remains largely hidden behind the white cylinder once installed, so the fitting reads as a single white element on the wall rather than a contrasting two-tone design.

Product Manual

What bulb does it take?

The Rond takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 50W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 bulb between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for accent wall lighting without glare.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

How far does it project from the wall?

The cylinder body projects 8.8cm from the wall surface once mounted on the backplate. This compact projection makes it suitable for narrow hallways and corridors where deeper fittings would obstruct passage.

Does the light project evenly upwards and downwards?

Yes. The open apertures at the top and bottom of the cylinder allow the G9 bulb to cast light in both directions. The intensity and spread depend on the specific bulb chosen, but the design is symmetrical so the up and down beams mirror each other.
