Description

The Rond is a 10cm diameter cylindrical wall light with a matt white aluminium body mounted on a concealed matt black backplate. A single G9 bulb inside the cylinder casts light both upwards and downwards through open apertures at the top and bottom, creating vertical beams on the wall surface while leaving the fitting itself as a neutral white form.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas where wall-washing accent light is needed without dominating the space, the Rond sits tight to the wall with an 8.8cm projection from the backplate. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor locations, but the compact 10cm footprint allows multiple fittings to be spaced evenly along corridor walls or flanking bathroom mirrors without crowding the vertical plane. The up-and-down projection adds vertical interest to low-ceilinged spaces or narrow passages where traditional ceiling lights would flatten the room.

The matt white aluminium finish diffuses ambient light softly and integrates cleanly with white or off-white wall colours, minimising the visual presence of the fitting when not lit. The G9 bulb base accepts halogen or LED capsules up to 50W, giving control over light temperature and output depending on the specific bulb chosen (sold separately). The matt black backplate remains largely hidden behind the white cylinder once installed, so the fitting reads as a single white element on the wall rather than a contrasting two-tone design.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the fitting has no moisture protection and must be kept away from water sources. It can be used in bathrooms provided it is installed outside zones 0, 1 and 2 (typically at least 60cm away from showers, baths and basins).
