Description

The Roller is a 9.6cm diameter LED pendant light with a cylindrical coffee brown body suspended from a matt black surface-mounted canopy. An integrated 12W LED casts 450 lumens of warm 3000K light through a 34° beam angle, producing a focused downlight rather than ambient wash. The narrow beam and compact size make the Roller a task light, not a room light.

Designed for use over kitchen counters, breakfast bars, desks and side tables where directed light is needed, the Roller typically hangs 600-800mm above the work surface. The adjustable drop from 260mm minimum to 2100mm maximum allows the pendant to be fitted in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m to 3m or higher, though we suggest using the shorter end of the drop range to keep the light positioned close to the task area. The 34° beam concentrates light within a defined circle approximately 300-400mm across at typical hanging height.

The coffee brown finish on the cylindrical body is a low-sheen powder coat over aluminium, producing a warm neutral tone that pairs comfortably with timber, brass and terracotta rather than cool greys or polished chrome. The matt black canopy sits flat against the ceiling and measures approximately 100mm in diameter. The downward-facing LED diffuser reduces glare when viewed from below, though the narrow beam means the pendant is best positioned where it will not be directly in eye line when standing.

The 0.6kg weight sits comfortably within the load a standard ceiling rose supports, so no extra bracing is needed for a single fitting.

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 12W output and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What hanging height works best?

The narrow 34° beam angle means the Roller functions as a task light rather than ambient lighting. We suggest positioning the pendant 600-800mm above a worktop, desk or side table to concentrate the 450 lumens within a defined work area.

Can multiple Rollers be grouped together?

Yes. The compact 9.6cm body and narrow beam make the Roller suitable for linear groupings over kitchen islands or breakfast bars. Space individual pendants 400-600mm apart to avoid overlapping beam pools while maintaining visual rhythm.

What happens if the integrated LED fails?

The LED module is non-replaceable. A 3-year warranty covers LED failure. After the warranty period, the entire fitting would need replacing if the LED fails, as is standard with integrated LED designs.
