This heart-shaped slate plaque carries a robin in a soft watercolour style, perched on a slim branch with his orange-red breast and brown wings set against a clean white face. Little splashes of pink, red and blue dot the background, so the bird looks as though he has only just been painted. The heart is 15cm tall, 15cm across and 0.5cm deep, a neat size for a small stretch of wall. Its edges are left rough and uneven, which gives the slate a natural, rugged outline around the smooth printed robin. A looped cord threads through two holes at the top, and a small pale tag printed with the words BE CURIOUS hangs from one side of it.
