Description

The Riviera is a single-light pendant with a ribbed clear glass shade shaped like an antique perfume bottle, suspended on a brushed nickel canopy and cord. The glass shade measures 152mm in diameter and 281mm in height, with vertical ribbing that refracts light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately) across the room. The brushed nickel metalwork includes the ceiling canopy, suspension hardware and the bottle-top-style collar that holds the glass shade.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas, hallways and bedrooms, the Riviera works as a single pendant over a breakfast bar or small dining table, or in multiples spaced 600-900mm apart over a longer kitchen island or workspace. The adjustable drop from 379mm to 2179mm allows the pendant to be set at the right height during installation for different ceiling heights and applications. The 2000mm cord length is trimmed to the required drop and the excess is stored in the ceiling canopy.

The ribbed glass diffuses light while showing the filament of decorative LED or vintage-style bulbs, making bulb choice part of the overall aesthetic. The brushed nickel finish on the metalwork provides a low-reflectivity satin surface that pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps, and contemporary or transitional interiors. The glass shade is mouth-blown, so slight variations in rib depth and pattern are normal between individual pieces.

What bulb does the Riviera take?

The pendant uses a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. The ribbed glass shows the filament, so most users choose a decorative LED filament bulb or a vintage-style squirrel-cage bulb in warm white (2200K-2700K) to complement the retro-inspired glass design.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

No. The drop is set during installation by trimming the 2000mm cord to the required length and storing the excess in the ceiling canopy. The height cannot be adjusted after the pendant is wired and fitted.

How many pendants are needed for a kitchen island?

For a typical 1.8-2.4m kitchen island, two or three Riviera pendants spaced 600-900mm apart provide balanced task and ambient light. Smaller breakfast bars or side tables work well with a single pendant centred over the surface.

Is the glass shade replaceable?

Yes. The glass shade can be removed from the brushed nickel collar and replaced if damaged. Contact Kichler or Niori customer service for replacement glass parts specific to the Riviera range.
