Description

The Ring is a 155cm floor lamp built around a slender matt black metal stem supporting a 25cm frosted white glass globe at the head. The single E27 fitting inside the globe accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), and the frosted glass diffuses the light output evenly in all directions, creating ambient rather than directional illumination.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where soft general lighting is needed without ceiling fittings, the Ring's compact 25cm globe and narrow stem footprint allow it to sit in corners, beside sofas, or between armchairs without dominating floor space. The frosted glass hides the bulb from direct view, reducing glare when the lamp is positioned at seated eye level. The IP20 rating confirms indoor-only use.

The matt black finish on the metal stem and base gives a low-sheen appearance that absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, making the lamp visually recede during the day while the globe becomes the focal point when lit at night. The Ring takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, or a higher-output bulb if the lamp is the primary light source in a small room.

Is the globe glass or plastic?

The shade is frosted white glass. Glass provides better light diffusion and heat resistance than plastic, and the frosted finish softens the light output without visible hot spots.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the lamp has no moisture protection and is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, conservatories with high condensation, or any outdoor application.

Is the height adjustable?

No. The Ring has a fixed 155cm height from floor to top of globe. The stem does not telescope or adjust.
