Description

The Ring is a 2-light pendant built around a brass oval frame that suspends two white opal glass spheres — one at the top curve, one at the bottom — on a single cable drop. Each sphere houses a G9 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately, max 25W each). The brass frame measures 12cm wide by 17cm long, with the two spheres positioned vertically within the oval to create a balanced composition.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and breakfast bars, the Ring works best over surfaces where the 12cm width provides accent light without overwhelming the space. The total drop is adjustable between 54cm and 204cm during installation, allowing the pendant to be set 70-80cm above a dining table or 60-70cm above a kitchen worktop depending on ceiling height. The cable runs through the centre of the brass frame and connects to a matching brass ceiling rose.

The brass finish on the metal frame provides a warm metallic tone that pairs well with both warm and neutral interior palettes. The white opal glass diffuses the G9 bulb light evenly in all directions, giving soft ambient light rather than directed task light. The frame itself is relatively minimal in visual weight, so the pendant reads as two floating spheres held in a brass loop rather than a heavy decorative structure. The IP20 rating limits the Ring to dry indoor locations only.

What drop height works for a dining table?

The pendant is adjustable between 54cm and 204cm total drop. For a dining table, the bottom glass sphere typically sits 70-80cm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The cable can be shortened during installation to suit lower ceilings.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Ring is suitable for dry indoor locations only and must not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or areas where it could be exposed to moisture.

Is the brass finish lacquered?

Maytoni brass finishes are typically lacquered to prevent tarnishing, but check the product manual for specific care instructions. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth to maintain the finish.
