Description

The Riley is a 31cm bell pendant light with a cognac-tinted glass shade suspended within an antique brass frame. The bell-shaped glass diffuses light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately) into a warm amber glow, while the brass frame and hinged lower ring reference industrial and traditional workshop lighting from the early 20th century.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Riley works as both task lighting over counters and ambient lighting in circulation zones. The 550-1550mm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be positioned 600-800mm above a worktop or island, or lowered further in rooms with taller ceilings. The hinged lower brass ring unclips for bulb changes without removing the entire shade.

The antique brass finish shows intentional patina and darker tones in the recesses of the metal, contrasting with the warmer cognac tint of the glass. This combination pairs well with warm-toned interiors, exposed brick, aged timber and brass hardware elsewhere in the room. The 2.4kg weight gives the pendant substance on the chain without requiring additional ceiling support beyond a standard UK ceiling rose rated for 5kg or more.
