Description

The Riggs is a 3 light bathroom wall light with a weathered brass frame holding three cylindrical cages, each enclosing a ribbed clear glass shade around an E27 bulb fitting. The three lights sit side-by-side on a single horizontal bar mounted on a circular brass backplate, giving a total width of 560mm and a projection of 179mm from the wall.

Designed for installation above wider bathroom mirrors or vanity units where a single light would leave the edges dim, the Riggs distributes three E27 bulbs across a 560mm span. The IP44 rating protects the electrical components from splashing water, making it suitable for Zone 2 bathroom installation (outside the immediate shower enclosure but within the general bathroom space). Each light takes a bulb up to 40W (sold separately), allowing the user to choose warm filament-style LEDs for traditional interiors or daylight-temperature LEDs for makeup and shaving tasks.

The weathered brass finish shows deliberate tonal variation and darker patina in the recesses of the frame, giving the appearance of aged metal rather than a uniform coating. The ribbed glass shades diffuse the light from the bare bulb filament, reducing glare when viewed directly and casting vertical striations of light and shadow onto adjacent surfaces. The combined weight of the brass frame and three glass shades requires fixing into solid wall or into wall studs where the wall is hollow.

The weathered finish is deliberately uneven and shows darker patina in recesses. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth only. Avoid metal polishes or abrasive cleaners, which would remove the weathered effect and reveal the brighter brass underneath.
