Description

The Riaza is a white LED pendant light formed from one continuous band that loops and twists into a loose, open knot, hung on fine wires from a round ceiling canopy. The body is aluminium and steel, with a white plastic shade along the band, so the whole curve gives off a soft, even glow. It measures 83cm across and 180cm high overall. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change; it draws 40W, gives out 6,512 lumens and is dimmable. Rated IP20, it is made for indoor rooms that stay dry.

This is a pendant that earns its place over a dining table, where the open loops read as a sculpture by day and a generous light by evening. It also suits a living room, an open-plan dining space or a roomy landing, anywhere dry with the ceiling height to let it hang well. At 6,512 lumens it is bright enough to serve as the main light in a room, and dimming lets you bring it down for a long, relaxed dinner. Its colour temperature range runs from 2200K, a warm, candle-like glow, to 6500K, a crisp, cool light.

The frame pairs aluminium and steel in a white finish that matches the shade and the canopy, so the whole fitting reads as one clean colour against a pale ceiling. The drop is height-adjustable by hand, which lets you lower the knot to sit comfortably over a table or lift it higher in a busy walkway. It carries an energy class of D, and the packed weight is 5.53KG, worth knowing when you carry the box upstairs. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
