Description
The Rendez-vous is a single-arm wall light built around a curved brass arm extending 31cm from a circular wall plate, supporting a 200mm spherical shade in white opal glass. The arm curves outward and upward in a sweeping arc, holding the E14 bulb fitting inside the frosted glass sphere. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly in all directions, acting as both shade and diffuser.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms (IP20 rated for dry areas only), and as bedside task lighting, the Rendez-vous provides ambient and decorative light in a compact 29cm vertical footprint. The curved arm allows the shade to sit away from the wall, avoiding harsh shadowing and giving a floating appearance. The wall plate diameter is approximately 100mm, fitting standard UK back boxes, and the fitting requires mains wiring through the wall.
The brass finish on the metalwork is a warm mid-tone brass, closer to satin or brushed than high-polish, reducing reflections under room lighting and pairing with both warm woods and cooler neutrals. The white opal glass is a translucent milk glass, not transparent — the bulb filament is visible as a soft glow rather than a direct point source. The 40W maximum E14 rating accepts candle-style LED bulbs, halogen candles, or traditional filament bulbs (sold separately). The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Rendez-vous take?
The fitting takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED candle bulb in 2700K-3000K warm white for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Rendez-vous carries an IP20 rating, which means it is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It cannot be used in bathroom zones where moisture is present. For bathrooms, an IP44-rated wall light is required.
How is the light distributed?
The white opal glass sphere diffuses light evenly in all directions — up, down, forward and to the sides. The curved arm positions the sphere away from the wall, avoiding harsh shadows and creating a soft ambient glow suitable for hallways and bedrooms.
Is the brass finish polished or brushed?
The brass finish on the Rendez-vous is a mid-tone satin or brushed brass, not a high-polish mirror finish. This reduces reflections and fingerprints, and pairs well with both traditional and contemporary interiors.
